If someone visiting Detroit asked me to give them a tour, or take them sight seeing around the area, the first stop I would make with them would be Comerica Park, right in the heart of downtown Detroit.  In my opinion there is nothing like going to a Tiger game on a nice summer day.  Here, they could enjoy the ball game, and get to visit in my opinion the greatest part of the city.  The area around Comerica Park is well kept, there is always activity, and is definitely worth seeing.  Next, if they are a country music fan I would take them to the Downtown Hoedown.  This is a three day annual event near Comerica Park that features over 20 rising country artists, and tickets can be bought for as little as $5.  This is a great event to go to.  Everyone is very friendly, there are many booths and tents set up with various activities, and it all is at an affordable price.  Another great event to see in Detroit is the North American International Auto Show.  This is the single largest auto show in the world, and it is held yearly in Detroit's cobo hall.  There is something for everyone there, including the future of automitives, interactive games, and much more! My next suggestion would be to take a visit to the Detroit Zoo. The Detroit Zoo is among the largest conventional zoo's in the country, and is home to the world renowned polar bear exhibit.  This is the perfect place for any animal lover, being home to a wide variety of animals from Michigan's own wolverines, to zebras and lions.  Lastly, I would finish the tour with a stroll down the Detroit Riverwalk.  This is a 5.5 mile paved trail down the Detroit river, passing many beautiful parks, casinos, hotels, and enormous ofice buildings.  This area is truly beautiful, and really shows what Detroit has the potential to become.  Though there are many more beautiful and entertaining sights around Detroit and its surrounding areas, these five places are a great tour of the beauty of Detroit.
